SANTO DOMINGO. Luis Alberto Moreno, president of the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) noted on Tuesday afternoon, to the private sector as “a very important factor of inclusive progress.”
The engine of development in Latin America, “Goes through whatever happens in the private health sector,” he added at the opening of the VII Business Convention 2015, organized by the National Private Business Council (CONEP).
The meeting, which began Tuesday and ends today, is een held at the hotel Jaragua, Santo Domingo, and brings together the directors of Conep, headed by its president, tourism entrepreneur Rafael Blanco Canto, as well as representatives of major companies in the country.
The event aims to agree on a strategic plan for the business sector for the next four years, and whose details have been discussed in 15 work tables in which 230 entrepreneurs have been involved.
The idea is to present to the next administration of the State, elected on 15 May, the proposed development of the business sector.
While speaking at the VII Business Convention, IDB President noted that the provision of services, the creation of productive and decent jobs and the generation of tax revenues are sourced at the private sector,
